Your branch is the “heart” of The Royal Canadian Legion. The strength of the organization is measured by the activities of its branches. Listed below are just a few activities in which branches like yours may be involved.
Service to Veterans
A branch service officer is available to help veterans and their dependents with benefits and pensions to which they may be entitled.
School Involvement
Legion branches work with local schools to assist youth through the sponsorship of bursaries, scholarships and athletic activities.
Recreational Programs
Darts, shuffleboard, crib, curling, pool, track and field, softball, slow pitch and horseshoes are just a few of the recreational programs sponsored by some branches for members and their families.
Community Involvement
Your branch may be involved in any number of community projects from Meals on Wheels to hospital services or Boy Scout and Girl Guide programs. Your branch is committed to community service.
