If you have been following the Toronto Star and CBC you might know that there will be a full Military Funeral for this lad on Saturday April 28, 2012 at Prospect Cemetery in Toronto. This event is being supported by RCL Branch #75 and there will be a reception at the branch following the military service. Although originally planned to coincide with the “New Moon” on Saturday April 21, 2012 the logistics of the event made it necessary to move the date one week to Saturday April 28, 2012.

There will be a group attending from Branch #136 but we need to let Branch #75 know how many will be attending. If you wish to participate, please let me know. This event will have considerable press coverage so it is a good time to show our colours! I will have invitations for all our veterans on Wednesday April 18th – but this is open to any member, not just veterans.

This event is Saturday April 28th so there is not a lot of time to get events organized. If there is enough interest in attending I will see what can be done in the time available to get a bus organized. We can then all go to Branch #75 after the service and come home safely!
